Why can I no longer see my website when putting domain directly into www.

Hi, I am confused. When I enter my http://www.chamoiz.co.nz address into internet explorer to view the site, or when I click ‘preview’ after adding a blog post I get diverted to Joomla and then cannot view my site or people cannot access the site on the www. Can you help?

There is no domain mapping for chamoiz.co.nz.

Hi, when I am logged into chamoiz.co.nz/wp-admin and make changes, add a blog, put in a new page and click ‘preview’ it used to show me how the page would look prior to publishing. Now it sends me to this Joomla site http://www.chamoiz.co.nz/?page_id=219&preview=true and I cannot see the blog page or new page in web view. I am relatively new to all this hence my confusion. The site is hosted by Blue Host, I edit in wordpress but cannot seem to bring up the site as a normal website. I want to be able to edit pages, add blogs and then view the changes how they look once on the www. Make sense?

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate.

The site you are asking about does not seem to be hosted on WordPress.COM so you need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using.

‘sorry, what does ‘there no domain mapping for chamoiz.co.nz’ mean?
A domain name can be mapped to a blog hosted at WordPress.COM so that the domain name appears in the browser window – i.e. your-site.com would display when visitors went to your blog your-site.wordpress.com

Both WordPress.ORG software and Joomla can be used to build web sites – you can use either one it looks like on Blue host – the choice depends on what you want to do with your web site – I have put a link to Joomla below that should help you a bit

I want the site to simply be a place where I can post ideas, thought and comments around helping parents with their childrens financial education. Provide a blog. Provide an email connection for subscribers etc. Like yours I would like it to be a useful goto place for information on learning and education on various children, and some adult I guess issues on financial education.

OK – then you could map your domain name to a blog here – then you don’t need to know how to be a web master – having a mapped blog here is about as simple as it gets:

My site costs $ 13.– US/ year for mapping and $ 30.– US/ no ads upgrade (WordPress.COM pays the bills by putting ads on blogs here) – I decided I did not want any ads on my main site –
Limits – I can’t sell my own ads on my site – but then if you just want to share info (as I do on my site) then this is a good place to be – the hosting is free so you can signup for a blog here and test the software for free if you want – 3 GB of storage space and unlimited bandwidth (so if one of your Posts goes viral at 1,000,000 page views in a day your site does not crash)
