Why can I not view my previously published posts even if clearly listed?

  I am trying to “view” my previously published posts yet when I click on the “view” indicator, all that happens is a continual cycling of “connecting”…waiting for my blog address…waiting for r-login.wordpress.comm…and back to “connecting”… over and over again. What is happening? Are my posts only held for a couple of months and then no longer available to me for viewing? I did not place them in “trash”, they are clearly listed on a post listing yet I cannot access them.
