Hi Laliv,
You can follow the Suidobashi theme’s instructions to set up your site like the theme demo. You can set up a portfolio as your front page to look like the theme demo and have links to your projects.
Here are the steps for that:
- Create a new page. Give it any title you want, like “Portfolio.” In the Page Settings section, under Page Template, select the “Portfolio Page” template. Then publish the page.
- In the Customizer, open the Static Front Page section. Under “Front Page,” choose the page you just created. Click the “Save & Publish” button to save your changes.
That’s it! Any new portfolio projects you create will appear on your front page, like in the theme demo.
Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :) You can also get help directly from the theme author in the Suidobashi support forum.

Hi, thank you for your answer.
I did follow the Suidobashi theme’s instructions, and also created new pages and set the front page as a static page as i wanted.Yet, the problem is this:
On my theme demo, enter the “Portfolio” page on the menu, and then enter “photography” page – you are on a page that contains links to all the photography projects, and the “previous/next” navigate you inside the project images. This is what i am trying to create.
On my photography page, for example, i am trying to link to one of my portfolio projects but i can not create the link.
I am on “text editor”, i press the “link” button, I mark the page I like to link and I press on “add link” and then “update” (for the page) but no link is created. The page stays empty.I tried it with/on few pages, non linked.
I would be grateful for an answer that would help me understand what is wrong…
Thank you,
Laliv

Hi Laliv,
The links on the Photography page in the theme demo are created automatically — they aren’t something you have to create yourself manually by adding a link. The theme demo uses Portfolio Project Types to set up pages with links like that.
Every project type automatically gets its own page. You have a Photography project type set up with one project in it, so you can view that project on the Photography page here:
http://lalivsivan.com/project-type/photography/
You can add that page to your site’s custom menu if you want your readers to visit that page. Then, when you create more projects with that project type, they will automatically be added to that page with the links to navigate between them.
Please let me know if you have questions about that!
I am on “text editor”, i press the “link” button, I mark the page I like to link and I press on “add link” and then “update” (for the page) but no link is created. The page stays empty.
I can certainly help you with this linking issue, so you can create all the links you need on your pages, but I want to make sure you know that you don’t need to do this to get your site set up like the theme demo.
After you click the “add link” button, you’ll need to type in the text you want to create as your link. In other words, if you want a link that reads “Photography” and goes to the photography page, after you click “add link” you will need to type out “Photography” in the editor. Otherwise, there is code for the link on your page but no text to create that link.
