why can't I add my blog here?

  THis is supposed to be my blog on WP http://stylishlyopinionated.com/
  someone gifted me the domain and now that’s waht I use…
  why can’t i add it to the WP blog forum?

  That domain is currently a self-hosted WordPress install.

  I am not entirely clear on what it is that you want to do.

  If you are now the owner of the domain and want to map it to a WordPress.com site, then you will need to first register a site on WordPress.com and then purchase the domain mapping upgrade to connect the domain to it. If you want to import the content of the old site, you can do that as well.

  Another thing you should be completely clear on before doing any of the above is that if you want to import the content of the old site that it meets the WordPress.com Terms of Service, so please fully review first.

  I want to add that blog on my WordPress profile as my blog so that my friends can follow my blog like i followed theirs. Right now my profile says no blog added…
  So can i/how do i add this blog on my profile?

  I want to add that blog on my WordPress profile as my blog so that my friends can follow my blog like i followed theirs.

  Your self-hosted site is already attached to your profile. If you hover your mouse over your username you’ll see it there.

  But the “Follow” button in the WordPress.com Admin bar is available only for sites hosted by WordPress.com. If your WordPress.com friends want to add your site to their Reader, then they will have to add it manually. http://en.support.wordpress.com/following/#follow-a-blog-not-on-wordpress-com

  Another option is that you install the jetpack plugin to your standalone WordPress site. Questions about jetpack should be asked over at the forum for self-hosted sites http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack We cannot help you here with questions for the standalone WordPress software or plugins.
