Why cant I get my featured image to show on my home page?

It shows up when I insert it then preview it but when I go to the site or anyone else does..its gone? My other pages are fine but the home one…I cant see my featured image. Please help..its just a blank space on top when people go to my site and it looks empty unless you scroll down.

I’m having the same issue – it looks fine if I go to the individual posts but disappears on the home page. If I insert the image into the post itself, it looks great on the home page but shows up double when someone goes to an individual post.

Im really surprised that there are not thousands with the same problem. It seems impossible to fix. Have tried everything. Hopefully someone will rescue us!! Lol..thanks for your response TSM.

From the Featured Images support page:
If you don’t see the Featured Image module on your Add New or Edit Post page, please make sure you’ve selected Featured Image in your Screen Options.
