why cant i register my domain name because i am nigerian?

  i am trying to upgrade my domain. each time i click on the purchase tab i get a notification please register with an accredited country or something. please i am Nigerian and my country is Nigerian how does that prevent me from upgrading my domain name please answer as this is very disturbing. or does wordpress not do business with Nigerians?

  PayPal is the payment processing gateway and they and many banks have blocked Nigeria for as long as I can remember. Nigeria is internationally renowned as a hub of financial fraud.
