Why can’t one use same email address after deleting the WordPress account

  Why can’t one use same email address after deleting the WordPress account? Whoever came up with that is insane. I don’t see why this is something to do once that user deletes the account.

  It allows us to offer a grace period where someone can restore their account if they want to. If you want to re-use an email from a recently deleted account, you can:

  – Use a different email until the account is fully removed (30 days after closure)

  – Use an email alias

  – Respond to the closure email, ask for the account to be re-opened, and then just change your username or email there as needed.
