Why did my scheduled post publish on Twitter early?

I wrote a blog post and scheduled it to publish tomorrow. I unchecked every box under Publicize expect Twitter. I see now on Twitter that my post already published. When I click the link, the blog post appears but with tomorrow’s date. When I check my post queue, the post shows it is scheduled to publish tomorrow.
This has never happened to my scheduled posts before. I don’t even understand how the link works if the post is technically not published yet.

Please note there are several threads on the front page of the forum reporting Twitter issues with publicize. Staff ie. Beau has been posting into them.

I see that now and hang my head in shame. I have never posted a support questions to WP, and I apparently misunderstood the process. If I was directed to the front page before writing my question, I missed it entirely.

Yikes! You have misunderstood me. Staff have been working on the publicize feature and there are bloggers with Twitter issues they are helping with. I have flagged this thread for Staff attention. Please be patient while waiting.
