Why did my Stats page go blank?
-
Three days ago, most of my stats page disappeared. On my main blog page, if I click on the small graph in the upper corner, I get a page with the usual banner–Reader–Stats–My Blogs–etc–but the bottom half of the page is blank white. If I go back to the main page and click on Dashboard and then on Site Stats, I get a page with the bar graph of stats, no countries or details. On that page there is a banner that encourages me to get more detailed stats by clicking on the button that says, “Check it out now.” When I click that button, it takes me to the same blank page mentioned above. If it matters, I notice that the Compatability icon is present on the main page but not on the other pages.

It looks like you’re using Internet Explorer 7. Would you be able to upgrade to Internet Explorer 9, or try a different browser like Firefox or Chrome?
If you are using Internet Explorer 9, this means that you have Compatibility Mode enabled, which renders everything like Internet Explorer 7 would. If that is the case, please try disabling Compatibility Mode.

Thanks for trying, but being able to see the Stats shouldn’t require upgrading from Windows 7 or changing browsers. Thanks for the tip about Compatibility Mode as well–that’s the first thing I checked, in case I had clicked the icon accidentally. But as I said, the icon doesn’t even appear on the Stats page, so there’s no way to disable it.
Windows did an automatic upgrade on Friday night or Saturday morning, and I suspect that that’s the cause. I noticed several other questions on the forum about Stats disappearing recently, so it doesn’t seem to be a problem just for me.

I’m unable to reproduce the issue under IE 9 myself.
Would you mind trying a different browser, like Firefox or Chrome, so we can at least rule-out a browser-specific issue?

Thanks for sticking with it. The problem doesn’t occur in Chrome, which reinforces the theory that the Windows update caused it.
