Why do I get directed to http://en.wordpress.com/typo/?subdomain when I type do
-
I cancelled my domain mapping for this account and tried to set up a new site with a different user name using the domain bluemarketingpartners.com.
With the new account I loaded the WordPress files to my ftp hosting server and they say everything looks fine on their end but on the WordPress end it is being rejected.
When I type in the name bluemarketingpartners.com/wp-admin I get redirected to http://en.wordpress.com/typo/?subdomain=bluemarketingpartners.
How can I get this corrected so I can use this domain with the site. If I try to setup an account on wordpress.org using the new username bluemktg it says it doesn’t exist.
According to the support documents I have read I need to be working through wordpress.org since I loaded the wordpress files to my host site instead of using the WP host through wordpress.com. But I think my problem is because I was using this domain on my blog site through WordPress.com.
Any input would be great. Thanks.

http://bluemarketingpartners.com/ is a self-hosted WordPress.org blog, which we really can’t help with.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
WordPress.org has complete documentation and support sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at http://codex.wordpress.org/ and http://wordpress.org/support/

I understand they are two different entities; however, when I put in the issue of being directed to http://en.wordpress.com/typo/?subdomain=bluemarketingpartners, I am prompted to wordpress.com support.

Right, that was the last part of my reply:

http://bluemarketingpartners.com/ appears to be working properly. Here’s what I see: http://d.pr/i/nN8M/20wU91a7 (it’s a self-hosted WordPress.org blog)
When a domain is registered or altered, there is a process called propagation, where information about the domain name is passed to internet service providers all over the world. This process can take up to 72 hours (though usually much less). During that time, you may also receive a warning message in your browser about “redirect errors”. Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your internet service provider updates their records. Please rest assured that everything is proceeding normally with your domain.
If you still have trouble viewing the site after 72 hours has passed, please try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clear-your-cache-and-cookiesIf that doesn’t work, try clearing your local DNS cache:
