Why do my subscribers still get update mails after I deactivated subscription?

  I have opted for using Mail Chimp for my subscribers’ updates, but still want Jetpack for its site stats. Now my subscribers are getting the wordpress update AND the MailChimp one. I have deactivated the subscription function, but it still sends updates. Please help, my subscribers are getting frustrated.

  You have deactivated the subscription widget, but only users can unsubscribe themselves.
