why do nested pages not show up on the parent page?

  The pages that should be nested under one of my main pages do not show up on that page. They appear in the pages widget, but what I really want is just a link to those pages on the parent page. A custom menu won’t help with this.

  Am I missing something here?? I haven’t been able to figure it out after lots of poking around and searching the support and forums, but apologies if I’m being a simpleton. =) Oh, and my site is heatherwiltse.me, and the parent page is ‘Teaching’.

  I’ve created a custom menu for your over here and your nested pages seems to be working now.

  Thanks kardotim. I knew I could use custom menus to add the items to the parent page menu item, but what I wanted was links to those items on the page itself. What I’m gathering from the documentation and your response is that this is not possible. So I guess it’s helpful to know that at any rate, and I appreciate you configuring a decent workaround for me.
