Why do quote marks appear as &#8216 when blog publishes to LinkedIn & Facebook?

  I have tried typing directly into Word Press as well as cutting and pasting from elsewhere, and my quote marks appear incorrectly when blog is publicized. they always appear fine in visual and text modes of WordPress.
