Why does a red X appear through the icon next to the URL for my page?

  I was trying to customize my second blog, which I hope to establish soon, and a warning came on about insecure material when I clecked on one theme — I forget which one now. I clicked OKAY anyway (why would the themes that WordPress adopts be unsafe, I asked myself?) and the red X appeared, and hasn’t moved, even though I logged out and then back in. And it appears for BOTH my blogs.

  I can’t just sit on my hands, so I went looking and found this explanation for the red X:

  “The site uses SSL, but Google Chrome has detected either high-risk insecure content on the page or problems with the site’s certificate. Don’t enter sensitive information on this page. Invalid certificate or other serious https issues could indicate that someone is attempting to tamper with your connection to the site.”

  How on Earth did THAT happen? And more importantly, what am I to do about it? How do I fix it? Is it even fixable? Does it matter?

  HELP!
