Why does my article view data cut off?

  Hi. I am an Editor for a WordPress.com account and noticed that article view count data for our site has started cutting off at 5:00 AM as opposed to 12:00 as expected. This is an issue because the other Editors and the Administrators pay careful attention to website and individual article traffic, so it’s more difficult to get daily view statuses cut off 7 hours early.

  I’m curious if this is an odd time-zone error depending on when the Administrator has the time-zone set, but if anyone else has experienced this or knows of a probable cause I’d be very appreciative for any support! Thank you :)

  Hi,

  First, you mention 5:00 AM as the cut-off time, and then refer to it as “7 hours early.” Did you mean 5:00 PM?

  I’m curious if this is an odd time-zone error depending on when the Administrator has the time-zone set…

  The time zone setting is by far the most likely reason for the result you describe.
