Why does my Facebook not display as "connected" ?

  I am trying to connect my Facebook to WordPress. I keep getting a message indicating that they are linked; however, it does not appear the same as my twitter (stating “connected”). Additionally, when I write a draft blog, Facebook does not come up in the publicize section on the right hand side like Twitter does?
