Why does my image URL disappear when I click save in a widget?

  why does my image URL disappear when I click save? It only happens with one particular image. I can’t get an image URL to remain in the field in the widget. When I click save, the URL I typed in just disappears from that field. I have also tried to download and then upload the same image and use it on WordPress as a different URL with the same result. Is something wrong with the photo itself? It is small, like just over 100 x 50 if I remember correctly.

  It is almost certainly because you are using the wrong URL. What is it?

  I figured it out. I was trying to use the shortlink (for the permalink) instead of the URL. Thanks.
