why does my published post does not appear in the list?

  hi,
  i published a post (https://42braids.wordpress.com/chinas-karakoram-highway/),
  however my email subscribers did not receive an email and i don’t see the post in the list of all published posts neither does it appear on my homepage.
  still, in the ‘stats’ pages are the numbers of views since i posted the link on Facebook.

  what happened here? how can i see the latest post in the summary and how can my subscribers get an email notification?

  Hi,
  https://42braids.wordpress.com/chinas-karakoram-highway/ is not a post. It’s a static page. Subscribers do not get notices of new pages being published. It’s likely that you used a page editor instead of a post editor to create the article, a common error.

  Oh, ops, thank you very much for pointing this out!
  i guess i need to create a new post or is it possible to convert a static page into a blog post?

  You’re welcome.
  There is no means for conversion of a page to a post. However, you can easily copy the content of the page and paste it into a post. I suggest doing so in text mode. If the images are unattached, then nothing more needs to be done about them. If, on the other hand, they are attached to the page you’ll have to upload them again to the post if you intent to delete the page. You may also add categories and tags to the post, whereas you can’t do so on the static page.
