Why does WordPress suck??

I am beyond frustrated, I had a free blog for years, and had no problems. No I have a registered domain and nothing but problems. First of all, I can’t sign in with my user name and password, it says invalid username, which I know is not the case. Second of all, I’m trying to do a simple thing like link a picture to a website on my sidebar, I added the picture and selected the text and clicked the link button and added the URL when you click on the image on my website it just pulls up the image. UGGGG And where do you go for help with these issues the forums suck!!

The image at the top of the sidebar of https://workoutjunkies.wordpress.com/ links to the About page. That means you are able to successfully create an image link in a text widget in the sidebar, which links to a page. Is that the image that you were referring to?
