Why doesn't my main page link work on facebook

  I’m trying to post my main blog page on Facebook. It is showing up totally blank except for what I type in, and the drop down “link photo” is white. I used facebook debug and get the following errors: Object at URL ‘http://thiswaytoheavy.com/’ of type ‘website’ is invalid because a required property ‘og:title’ of type ‘string’ was not provided.

  Curl Error : COULDNT_CONNECT

  My blog is thiswaytoheavy.com
  I notice that my blog works fine when I visit the URL, but it doesn’t automatically put in the www. I’m not sure if this makes a difference.

  Hi there!

  I just ran Facebook Debug on your site and I did not get that error. Can you try clearing your cache and cookies and try it again?

  As for the missing www, we don’t use www here at WordPress.com. The www subdomain is a relic from the beginning of the internet when it was necessary that you identify that you want the World Wide Web. This isn’t necessary anymore.

  Unfortunately neither of those solutions work. My boyfriend had the same issue when he tried my link on his computer, too.

  Also, a few of my specific posts work partially when I post them to facebook. Others don’t work at all.

  Thanks for the additional links. I just put those in and selected the “Fetch new scrape information” button that appears after initial debug. I’m seeing descriptions appear for both of your posts now.

  I’m not sure why Facebook had decided that your Blavatar isn’t large enough to display, but the last time I just ran http://thiswaytoheavy.com/ through the fetch new scrape information it came up with the image.

  Will you take a look again and let me know what you see?

  I’m so glad! If you see this happen with other posts in the future try the “Fetch new scrape information” button. It will force Facebook to scrape the page again and update its info. :)
