Why don't my Categories appear on blog?

  I have added Categories with children. They show on my “Categories” page but not on the blog. Earlier all the categories, parents and children were on the blog.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You have 5 categories, but only 2 have published posts in them.

  Categories won’t display in the Categories widget until they have at least 1 published post.

  “Writing” is the only category showing and there are no published posts in it.

  Motorcycle > A Great Ride – 2012 has two articles posted but does not show on Blog.

  All that shows above banner picture is “About” and “Writing”
  (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  They’re appearing in your Categories widget correctly: http://d.pr/i/kd64/12sIaKdW

  What you’re referring to are Pages in your custom menu set at Appearance -> Menus, not categories.

  Maybe you can answer a question I just got. “I want to include a picture in a comment to your ride blog. How can I do it?”

  At this time, there is no easy way to add images to comments. If they have the image hosted elsewhere, they could include it with HTML:

  <img src="[image url goes here]"/>
