Why have my scheduled posts not been published?

  Why have my scheduled posts not been published? I got the message (in red no less) on my post list that the post supposed to go up has missed its schedule. This has happened two days in a row, I had to manually publish, which kind of defeats the purpose of scheduling.
  Why has this happened? has anything changed that I don’t know about?

  Typically, scheduled posts are not actually published until someone visits the blog after the scheduled time, since no one would see it if they aren’t looking for it anyway.

  This isn’t ideal of course, but it protects our system from malicious activity that could cripple the entire network.

  The next time that happens, would you please leave the post unpublished so we can make sure nothing unexpected is happening?

  Is that a new thing?
  I have been scheduling post for the exact same time every day for over a year and it always managed to publish at that time and that is what my readers expect.
  I don’t quite understand when the post will appear then?
  When there is traffic on the blog? I should think there is at least one person looking at all times…
  Could you please explain that further?
  It stresses me out that I work hard on the content of my post every day and then can not be sure it will be published on time. And I can’t sit in front of the computer every morning to do it myself.

  It has actually functioned this way for quite a long time. Over a year at least.

  I don’t quite understand when the post will appear then?

  First, you schedule a post, then a viewer views your blog after the scheduled time, and the post is published while the page is loading.

  I should think there is at least one person looking at all times.

  If that really is the case, it should have definitely published close to the publish time. If it happens again, please leave it unpublished so we can take a closer look.

  Okay, thank you very much!
  I’ll leave it tomorrow and see what happens.
  It never occurred before, the email that a new post is up always went out at exactly 8am every day…
