Why, in the past month, do Views by country no longer equal total page views?

  Recently, views by country no longer equal total page views. In past month, views by country total is 218, but total page views for the month about 320. I am noticing this each day when I look at the previous day’s stats. eg Yesterday there were 13 page views but total views by country only adds up to 4. Just started happening in past few weeks. Is something broken? Views by country is meaningless if not all page views are being counted.

  There are some visits for which where we cannot definitively identify the originating country, which likely accounts for the discrepancy. When that happens, the visit is counted, but not classified under a particular country.

  Ah, that makes sense. I wonder what those countries are…
