Why is it ‘Private’? How do I publish my post?

This is maddening. I’m done editing and I want to publish my post. But it keeps being ‘Private’. Why is this so damned hard?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
A post can only be private if you set it to private when you created it. Private posts are published, but they’re only visible to admins and editors on a site.
If you want the post to be public, go to My Site ->Blog Posts and edit the post.
In the post settings sidebar, click on Status, click on Admins and Editor, and change that to Public. Then click the Publish button.
