Why is it when I share my blog, it shows the old blog website that I deleted?

  I created a blog and decided that I wanted to use another one to share to Facebook instead. Every time I click “share,” it shows the the post, but it says “by (insert old blog here)” Even when I click on the old blog, it shows that the old blog was deleted. My post shows from my current blog, but it will say “by Gallivanting with Kat” instead of “Kat out of the Hat” like I want it to. People cannot see that my blog is posted by me. How can I fix this?

  Oh, I have already tried removing the Facebook connection on the new blog and reconnecting. It still shows the old blog.

  Post the snippet and link manually to save time first and then proceed as follows.

  1. Try flushing your FB cache but disconnect from FB first http://umairj.com/146/how-to-clear-facebook-shares-cache/

  2. (a) Try the full reconnect procedure again detailed at http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-facebook including step 3 (removing the FB app), which is probably the most important step.

  Note: RSS Grafitti http://www.facebook.com/RSS.Graffiti can be used for posting to Facebook walls if you prefer. RSS Graffiti periodically checks the RSS/Atom feeds that you specify and posts any new entries it finds to the Facebook Walls that you specify. You can get any feed written on any wall (Facebook Profiles, Fan Pages, Groups, Events and Application Profile Pages). In fact, multiple feeds to multiple walls. You choose the combination.

  Please note that reconnecting Publicize with Facebook and/or with Twitter does not re-publicize missed posts, but it will work for future posts.

  You tried flushing the Facebook Cache? That should have done it.

  Having the same problem with two wordpress.com blogs. Even after have removed the Facebook connection on the older of the two blogs, I post with the more recent of the two blogs, but shared posts to Facebook say “by ___” with the title and hyperlink to my old wordpress.com blog.

  I took a look at Kaizen’s Facebook cache clearing instructions and wonder if there is a more simple and straightforward method to clearing the Facebook cache.
