Why is latest post showing at the bottom and not the top?

  Latest post at bottom instead of top at Mbariket.com. What’s happening?

  I just checked http://mbariket.com/ and I see the latest post at the top right now.

  Could you have been seeing a sticky post before but you’ve fixed it already?

  Hello,

  Actually the latest post is the 4 steps to facebook and its at the bottom. I’ve posted two more since the Yelp post and they’ve both appeared at the bottom, one of them gone from the front page altogether.

  Didn’t see any sticky posts. I’ve looked into it. Please advise.

  My apologies. I see it now, I hadn’t scrolled back far enough before.

  To get a little more background info, are you by chance editing the posts and changing the publication dates/times several times after first publishing them? Or when you create a post, do you leave the same date/time it had at the time you published it and leave it alone after that?

  From what I can see right now on the dashboard “Posts” page, it looks like the issue is only happening for the posts dated today which are all within a few hours apart, is that also what you’re seeing?

  Thank you for your swift response. I post quite frequently and want the latest post to appear on top and not anywhere else.

  I’ve had to manually edit the time for the current post to appear on top and don’t wanna keep doing that.

  Could you please tell me how to fix this?

  I thought of a few things you can check.

  First, is your timezone setup correctly on this page?
  https://mbariket.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-general.php

  Second, the next time you publish a new post, can you look at the Publish module right before you publish and make sure it says “Publish immediately” or that it’s set to the correct date/time for when you want the post published?

  Note that if you change the timezone setting *after* you’ve saved drafts, then (at least for those posts) you may have to edit the date/time manually before publishing. The rest of the new posts you create in the future should be good after that though.

  If you start publishing new posts for a while after the timezone setting is updated, then let’s revisit the issue at that time.
