Why is my domain transfer being rejected?
-
I am trying to transfer my domain away from WordPress and to DreamHost. I followed the procedure, and every time I do it (I have repeated the process four times) I get a response from DreamHost saying the transfer was rejected by my current registrar. I am paying for hosting at DreamHost that I can’t use, as well as a domain I can’t use. I am trying to start a business, and am losing money, time, etc. There’s no way to reach a person at WordPress and I’m getting desperate. Please help!

You can also point your name servers to Dream Host – no transfer of domain name required

You be welcome
There is a 60 day waiting period after some types of changes to any internet registration – that is an internet regulation – you might have ran into that

Ahh, okay. I thought I was past the 60 days, but maybe not. So if I point my name servers as you advised, it will work the same as if I transfer the domain name? Then after the 60 days should I transfer the domain or just leave it as is? Sorry for all the questions–I’m just completely ignorant about this stuff and want to make sure I do everything right.
Really appreciate your help!

Yes
Then after the 60 days
You can keep the domain registration here or move it – either one works – WordPress.COM is a low cost registrar
