why is my reblog function not working?

  When i press ‘reblog’ on a blog i like, all i does it put the title of the post on my blog – it doesn’t put any content there.
  I feel like i am missing something really obvious?

  Oh and then it sends out my notification to subscribers that i have done a new post – when they follow the link all they see is a title, no content.
