Why is my site listed as spam? Why? Help!

Every time I make a comment and under “website” I use my own site I can never even get my comment in the moderation que on most blogs. Can anyone help? We had a previous intern do our links and I hope he didn’t just throw links around and gotten us in trouble.

You may be listed as a spammer on the Akismet service. Note that using comments to just post links is spam. Instead of that, using comments to contribute to a conversation in a meaningful way is what you should be doing. I don’t know the history of what kinds of comments have been posted, but if you feel you are unjustifiably marked as a spammer, please contact the Akismet spam service and include as much detail as possible including a URL where you tried to leave a comment, the email address used, whether you were logged in to WordPress.com at the time you left the comment, and the content of the comment.
