Why is my stats page giving uneven information

  My view count this morning is 86, but my independent visitor count is just one. The views are from several different countries so who knows what’s going on! I just want to be sure this is a fixable/short term issue as independent visitors is the kind of info you need to give certain organisations, and if it doesn’t reflect reality that will be a problem!

  Hi there,

  The discrepancy between the number of views (including views by country) and visitors in your stats is due to how we calculate those stats for your blog. Typically a view is reported within five minutes, while it can take up to two hours to report new visitors. At any given time, your visitor count may lag behind your view counts.

  One thing you can do is wait until the following day, and then check your stats for the previous day — that will help ensure that all the stats from that day have been calculated and you’re getting the complete data.
