Why is RSS Feeds through Reader Taking 13 Hours to Appear?

  RSS feed through Google Reader extremely slow. It took 13 hours for it to show up there. Is this a problem with Reader? None of my other blogs take that long.

  When you publish a post it directly appears in your RSS feed. Could you make sure that you’ve set your Google Reader to refresh the feeds automatically?

  Every other RSS feed I follow shows up immediately. Are you sure there isn’t an issue on your end? Could it have something to do with following a custom domain? The site is mobilesuccess.wordpress.com but the domain is actually eliainsider.com.

  No, the issue isn’t on our end. Once a post is published, it’s immediately in your feed.

  Google Reader is very selective about how often it checks for new content. The speed at which it refreshes feeds is directly related to how many subscribers they have on those feeds.

  The more subscribers your blog has in Google Reader, the quicker it refreshes.
