Why is the 10Gig Ex Space I purchased showing as Active but still only 1Gig?
-
I bought the video upgrade for my blog as well as 10Gigs of extra space tonight. Both show as active, but when I drop the video in that I’d like to use, I get an error message saying that I am only allowed 1 Gig of space. My video is 1.9Gigs. So, with a 10Gig limit, I ought to be just fine.
BUT… below the acceptable file types in the drop-in media upload box it says, “Maximum upload file size: 1GB.” However, in small grayed out writing directly below that it says, “302.6 kB used, 13.0 GB (100.0%) upload space remaining.”
This is driving me absolutely batty!!! Please help!!!! Thanks so much!!!

You have 13GB of total space but uploading video files larger than 1.4GB might give trouble.
Please try opening the video in QuickTime player and select “Save for Web” from the File menu and check the “Computer” box.The result will be a new movie file, either ending with .m4v or .mp4. Upload this file instead.

Howdy,
So, I spent 80 dollars last night on WordPress video and space upgrades and am on disability… And, what you appear to be telling me is that to make this work, I need to purchase Quicktime Pro 7 because the free version does not have any “clickable” save options in the file menu.
The video I watched on WordPress video and space capability boasted that I could use high definition files, of which mp4 is one of the accepted file types that was listed.
The whole reason I have this huge file HD file that I have tried every other way I know to compress is simply because I recorded it on that rediculous default setting on my phone (I do have a compressed version of this video, but the compressed version errored out when I tried dropping it into wordpress also even though it was only almost 67 MB which prompted me to purchase more space from wordpress.)
Listen, I really, really need to get this video out, and forsee a long string of back and forth on this… Is there not someone I can talk with over the phone or Skype, or something chat to resolve this in real time?

Howdy Again,
Ok, I just used the free version of Quicktime 7 to upload my compressed file which is awesome!!! Yesss!!! Dance, dance, dance…!!!
BUT, I am now in the same boat again because the program that I bought on my phone for a couple dollars to compress the file will not compress any other files except the first file you try to compress, and the developer of the software does not have a cure for that at this time.
So, I’m back to needing to add to this post the second video I have of the second half of this meeting that is also close to two gigs. And this is getting real expensive…
Please help.
Thanks so much!!!

First of all I recommend compress videos on a computer instead of a mobile phone. If you are using Windows, then I recommend using Windows Movie Maker to compress your video. You can follow the steps in this guide:
