Why is there empty spaces in my grid?

  • Unknown's avatar

I’m using the Gridspace premium template. On the front page is a grid of thumbnails for all the posts I’ve made (four rows of three thubms each are displayed before loading in older posts). For some reason there’s 2 empty spots in the grid (on the last fourth row before you load in more posts) where there should be two thumbnails. There are thumbnails both before and after these two empty spots. I don’t have empty posts there. And the live demo page of Gridspace doesn’t show this empty space layout. I’ve been trying to find an answer to it on the forum but without luck.

Hi there, you can control the number of thumbnails that appear on the front page of the Gridspace theme in your blog’s Reading settings, under Settings > Reading in your blog’s dashboard. Next to “Blog pages show at most” you can select the number of thumbnails you want to show. To fill the grid in Gridspace, you will want to choose a multiple of three (such as 6, 9, or 12).

If you have any questions about this, please let me know!

    Thank you sooo much!!!
This has bugged the brains out of me… and it was such a simple thing… I’m a bit surprised that the default setting is something that doesn’t match the layout though…But maybe it can’t be controlled. Not sure.
But thanks for the help :)

    You’re welcome! :)

The default setting is 10 posts per page. This setting isn’t tied to the theme you are using, so you do have to change it yourself if you switch to a theme with a different layout.
