Why isn\'t any of this working?
-
Dashboard bears no resemblance to tutorials. ’To create a new post head to Posts → Add New in your site’s Dashboard.’ There’s no ’Posts → Add New’ in my site’s dashboard. What there is is a tiny ’W’ in the top left hand corner which, when hovered over, provides a link called ’New Posts’. When clicked on, this goes to something called ’Freshly Pressed’ and a permanently locked progress monitor. I have just updated Firefox as suggested & this appears to have made no difference.
Also, your support form repeatedly detects my wordpress.com blog as a wordpress.org blog – therefore I have ticked ‘I do not have a blog’. Which also seems to make sense as obviously I have not managed to blog anything yet.

Howdy,
It doesn’t look like you’ve registered a blog here:

That shouldn’t be a problem.
Do you have any luck if you check or uncheck “Always use HTTPS when visiting administration pages” at Users -> Personal Settings in your blog’s Dashboard?

Seems to come and go at the moment.
It is unchecked as of right now, but I think my browser may have saved the ‘https’ version to the toolbar? I always seem to have trouble if I try & access it that way; if I go in the ‘front door’ and just go direct to the blog itself then log in, it – mainly – seems to be OK. For now. I will carry on doing it this way and get back to you if it starts to become persistently unworkable again.
Many thanks for your input. : )
