Why isn’t my site appearing on search engines?
-
When I type in the title of my site verbatim, it doesn’t appear at all. It’s not even buried, it just doesn’t appear. My privacy settings are set to public, and this site (as well as the settings) has been active for over 2 years now.
Site: https://wpuosp.wordpress.com.
WP.com: Yes
Correct account: Yes -
I was able to type the link in and view the site you have listed.
You may be having issues with your browser. I would try the following:
clear the cache
close the tab you are using
close and relaunch the browser
check on another browser, maybe a setting or plugin you are using is causing you issues on the original browser -
Hi there!
I’ve looked at the privacy settings for your site
http://wpuosp.wordpress.comand it looks like you have discouraged search engines from indexing the site. You can see it by clicking My Site → Settings → scroll to the Privacy section. You’ll want to uncheck that option if you want to allow search engines to index the site. Once you’ve updated the setting, consider using Google Search Console to verify your site with Google. It may take several weeks after the setting is updated for your site to start showing up on search results.

Alsa, that was checked! Thank you! I eagerly await to see if this resolves itself in a few weeks.

Cheers, @wpuosp! Be sure to set up the Search Engine Console as well, so you can see the progress from Google’s end, along with any suggestions they have.
