why isn’t my site connected to my profile on app for mac

    i sign in on a web browser, and everything is the way it should be..i attempted to use the app specified for mac, and my site that i already own and build is not showing up on my profile..same credentials used to log in both !

    Hi there,

    What is the site?

    The WordPress Desktop app requires a WordPress.com login, and the WordPress.com account you’re using to post here in the forums doesn’t own any sites with us.

    If you have a WordPress site built with the open source WordPress.org software, and hosted at another provider, you’ll need to connect that site to your WordPress.com account using the Jetpack plugin to use it through the desktop app.

    Log into WP-Admin on your site, go to Plugins ->Add New, and search for Jetpack. After installing and activating the plugin, follow the steps to connect it to your WordPress.com account.

    Once you’ve done that, if you click on My Site here on WordPress.com or in the desktop app, you’ll be able to interact with your self-hosted site.
