why isnt my theme showing up right?

  I selected a theme but it inst displaying correctly. I only want pictures to be displayed on the home page and once you click on a picture it leads to the blog post. However, currently it is just a long page of all the blog content.

  Hi,
  You’ve got to assign selected posts to the featured content tag in order to display a mosaic of image links at the top of the front page as in the Canard demo.
  From the Canard theme guide,

  The homepage allows you to prominently display your choice of up to five posts in a crisp grid. Select which posts to display with the “featured” post tag, or designate a different tag in Appearance → Customize. The Featured Content area displays when your front page is set to show your latest posts – use it to make sure your best articles get noticed.
