Why isn't the 2nd page of my blog attaching to the menu?

  the second page on my blog entitled “In the Beginning…” does not attach to the menu but the other pages do when the menu widget is activated.

  I see it in your footer http://deswy.wordpress.com/the-great-ennead/in-the-beginning/

  It’s a static Page, not a Post, so it won’t show in your recent posts widget.
