Why isn't the correct thumbnail image available when I share a post on Facebook?

  When I shared posts on Facebook, it only pulled select images from the sidebar as the thumbnail and it’s not the image I need shown. I tried putting the correct image at the very top of the sidebar, but it still doesn’t pull it. Specifically, I have two posts that contact embedded You Tube videos. I tried putting the image in the posts along with the video in hopes that that would solve the problem and it would automatically pull the featured image, but it still didn’t work. How can I get the correct image to be the thumbnail? Thank you!

  Unfortunately, we have no control over the images that Facebook chooses. We really only send them the URL of the post, and they hunt through that for the excerpt and images to include.
