Why it doesn't arrive my confirmation email ?

    Hi, I’m from Italy.

    I cannot understand why the confimation email doesn’t arrive. i asked it four or five times already, I’m waiting since yesterday and it hasn’t arrived yet. I’ve controlled if i typed a wrong email adress, but that is not the case. What I have to do ?

    Hi there.

    Please start by checking your email client spam filter.

    If the account you are using is a Gmail or Google Apps account, please see this link for help on issues specific to those https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-notifications/gmail-issues/

    If that is not the issue, please type modlook into the tag box on the right to get staff support.
    You should also subscribe to the thread so you can be notified when they respond. This can be done by clicking the link to the right “Subscribe to Topic”.

    Hi, i’ve checked the anti-spam of the email and of my antivirus ESET. I’ve trid to disable them, but still the email didn’t arrived.

    Be patient until Staff can advise what you should do. You did tag the topic so it is in their queue.

    Hi there,

    I checked the email address on your account, and it looks like it may have a typo. Currently, the ending of your account’s email address is listed as hotmai.it — should that be hotmail.it instead? Please check your account settings and make sure that is entered correctly.

    Once you update the email address there, you will receive a confirmation email at the new email address you entered to complete the change. Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that!

    I’ve tried to modify the email, but after i try to push the “save changes to the account button” it is saying: “There was a problem saving your changes.” My my . . .

    I am having this exact same issue. I forgot the c in .com of my email address. Rachelmcr, I can’t change the address because it requires confirmation which is sent to the account with the typo. Any additional suggestions?

    @artkou — Ah, I see. If you already own a WordPress.com account linked to that email address, you won’t be able to use it with this account/username. (Every account must use a unique email address.)

    If you don’t remember your other account details, you can enter your email address in this password reset form to reset the password for that account:

    https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

    You’ll need to either choose a different email address for this account, or you can transfer the blog you created on this account to your other account that’s using the correct email address so you can manage it from there. Please let me know if you have any questions about that!

    @slownotions1 — When you update the email address in your account settings, it sends a confirmation email to the new email address you entered (the correct one). Please check that email address for the confirmation email to complete the change.
