why the add media link does not work and the upload file is not available?

    The add media function in the latest version does not work as expected. the upload file is not available and all attempts to link an image from the gallery into a post only puts the link (not the actual image) into the post. is this a glitch. or has something to do with the settings? previous versions of that theme were much easier to work with and did not have this problem. ( I know I have to click on image instead of link to insert the image and I have tried all possible solutions)

    That is not a free hosted WordPress.com blog. We provide support only for free hosted WordPress.COM blogs being hosted right here on this multiuser blogging platform.

    We do not provide support for WordPress.org software and that’s what you have ie. a WordPress.ORG install. WordPress.com and WordPress.org have different log-in and different versions of themes with same names.

    If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
