Why will my site URL not change?

    I have tried so many times to change the URL of my site. It’s not changing. I have changed the blog name and gone through the process of changing my site address, but nothing is happening. It’s been weeks and my site is still only accessed through the old address. I thought about deleting my blog and just starting over, but because I purchased an actual site, I can’t delete it! So it feels like I will have to buy a new one and an additional theme if I want to have a new site. Help! I have gone through process after process via the support help content on the wordpress site, but nothing is actually working or showing result.
