Why won't my comment post?

Why won’t my comment post? I get a message that I’m not logged in, but I am.
I have a screenshot of the result after attempting to post. I’ve been trying for over 30 minutes and get the same result. I don’t understand.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Usually when we get bloggers asking this question they are not referring to blogs hosted by WordPress.COM. They are referring to WordPress.ORG installs or to blogspot.com ie. Blogger blogs. That said, we cannot provide an accurate answer until you provide the exact URL of the post you are trying to comment on so please post it now.

Thanks! The view you see of the page in that screenshot is how it looks when you’re not logged in to WordPress.com, which suggests that you weren’t already logged in when you tried to leave that comment.
Could you try visiting that post again and see if the page looks the same? When you’re logged in, you should see an admin bar at the top of the page that looks like this: https://cloudup.com/ctmeks6Drty

You’re welcome. I’m glad it worked for you this time. :)
When you comment with an email address linked to a WordPress.com account, we ask you to log in to verify your identity (so others can’t impersonate you with comments). If you’re already logged in, you won’t need to log in again each time you comment.

I am sorry to report that a similar situation has occurred and keeps recurring. I check to make certain that I am signed in to wordpress before I submit my comment, and I keep getting the message that I need to sign in. I really cannot understand why my comment is not being posted. Help!

Did it happen on the same post this time, or on a different post? (If it was a different post, please provide a link to the post so I can take a look.)
Also, did you see the admin bar at the top of the page before submitting your comment there?

This happened on the same thread, while I was attempting to reply to “Editor” – and the admin bar was there. However, you need not concern yourself with this issue any longer; I discovered a “Back-Door” method of posting by clicking on the “Reply” button of the last post from “Editor”! Strange that this worked when I couldn’t post in a normal fashion. Thanks again! :)
