Why won't my photo pass security?

  I tried to upload a jpeg photo and got: Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons.

  I don’t understand. Why not? What can I do to get it to clear security?

  Sometimes you get that warning when the filename includes unusual characters. Jpeg is approved http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/

  Also, check the file and make sure it is actually a JPG and not another file type such as a bitmap that has just been renamed with a JPG extension.

  Thanks for the info! I added .jpg to the photo and it uploaded. But now it’s a separate post. Don’t know how to stick in my my blog.
