Why won’t WordPress update my email address in my settings?

  Very frustrated. When we set up our site, we had an SEO group help us. We discontinued services with them in November 2017. Since then I have been trying to up the admin email address to my address. I have yet to this day to get anything from WordPress to activate the new email address.
