Widget area sidebar background images twenty twelve

    My website is all about images with no background PNG Images, I have a linear-gradient set up for showing transparency of an image within posts which works fine, I am trying to get the same result in my latest images in the sidebar widget area, I have got the linear-gradient to work in the widget area but it covers all the sidebar, what I want to do is just have it work behind images? is this possible

    I have nearly got there but for some reason the bottom image still has a white background, not sure why?
