Widget Editor

The new widget editor is just really glitchy. And I tried to download the classic widgets plug-in, but it doesn’t seem to have worked. I went in to remove one widget. The editor did this but then replicated my widgets below the original widgets list so that now there are doubles of several of them?? And some new widgets or widgets that I have previously removed show up on the new widgets editor?? I removed some of those blocks, but because the replicated widgets are replicated, I am wary of deleting those copied blocks in case it deletes the original blocks, which I want to keep. PLEASE stop updating. Basically every update for a long while now has made this site harder to use, not easier. There is formatting that I cannot do now that I have used in older posts, and it is frustrating and breaks the style rules that I had in place for my blog.

We’ll look into how that happened, but for now, you can remove the undesired widgets by following the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/widgets/#remove-a-widget
It’s possible you may need to disable Classic Widgets first, as I suspect it may be a conflict between the two.
