widgets in premium version

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,
I made my website on a free WP tremplate. Now I would like to install a few widgets to have it customised. Do I need to upgrade to the premium version? Would that help?

    Thanks,
    Arjeh

    Hi Arjeh,

What sorts of widgets would you like to add to your site?

At WordPress.com, we have a number of built-in Widgets and other features. If you’re trying to add something that isn’t one of those built-in widgets, there are some limits to what’s allowed, for security reasons. If you let me know exactly what you’re trying to add, I can help you find out if it’s an option here at WordPress.com. :)

I think the best option for me would be to add a little HTML code to the site, so that G-Analytics recognizes my website. I think however that there is no option to do so…? Or is there a widget that does the job for me?

I already saw the limited statistics the template itself offers.

    Thanks! Enjoy your weekend!

    Hi Arjeh,

WordPress.com doesn’t support Google Analytics, so there isn’t a way to add the code it requires. However, if you’d like to supplement the built-in stats with additional information from Google, I’d recommend setting up Google Webmaster Tools. That includes a lot of the information that’s also in Google Analytics and can be a helpful addition to your stats if you’re looking for that kind of detail.

Please let me know if I can do anything more to help!
