Widgets not appearing on site

  Whenever I add a widget and click save, I will be notified that my changes have been saved but then when I click on the site, no widgets appear. Can you please help?

  Everything I’ve tries so far i.e twitter, photo, follow blog button etc.

  Hi there,

  When you add a new widget, what widget visibility settings do you choose?

  Right now, I see two widgets on your site. Your Follow Blog Widget is set to only display on your category pages, like this Beauty category page:

  http://laurenessence.com/category/beauty/

  Your Categories widget is set to only display on your author page:

  http://laurenessence.com/author/laurenessence/

  For both of those, you can scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the triangle there to view the widgets: https://cloudup.com/cfi7mgrDHIm

  I understand, thank you… Is there any way I can display the widgets at the side of the page other than the bottom?

  The Illustratr theme you’re using only puts widget at the bottom there — it doesn’t have a sidebar space for widgets on the side of the page.

  If you’d like to display widgets in a sidebar, you’ll need to switch to a theme that has that feature. You can browse our theme showcase for a new theme, like maybe Fontfolio, Sketch, or Suburbia.
