  Hi–

  I received the following message twice now. I renewed the dk-industries.com domain last October, and I’m not looking to transfer this domain at this time. Where did Wild West Domain comes from? Is it a scam?

  The transfer and renewal of your domain name, dk-industries.com is not yet complete at this time.

  Reason:
  ——-
  1) The Domain name is currently in a “REGISTRAR-LOCK” status with your current registrar WILD WEST DOMAINS, LLC
  2) We require that you provide us with an EPP Key/Authorization Code from your current registrar

  In order to complete the transfer and renewal, the “REGISTRAR-LOCK” status needs to be removed and an EPP Key/Authorization code needs to be obtained. Please see below for instructions on achieving this.

  Solution:

  – Log into your account with your current registrar, WILD WEST DOMAINS, LLC, and change the status of your domain, dk-industries.com, from “locked” to “active”.
  – Then look for the EPP Key or Authorization Code.

  Alternate Solution:
  ———
  – Call your current registrar, WILD WEST DOMAINS, LLC, and ask them to remove the lock status of your domain name and provide you with your EPP Key.

  – Once done please notify us that you have done so, by responding to this email with the EPP Key/Authorization Code.
  We will then re-attempt the transfer and renewal of your domain name.

  Hi there,

  No, Wild West Domains isn’t a scam. Wild West Domains is our domain registrar partner, so you may see their name in reference to the domain you registered here at WordPress.com.

  However, if you are not looking to transfer your domain, the email you received from Domain Registry of America may not be legitimate. I’d recommend deleting that email or marking it as spam if you don’t know who sent it.
